This morning during assembly, students watched some grade 6 students put on a small skit in regards to  our learner profile of the month: inquirers. Then we read a story and students used dry erase markers to practice letters, lines, shapes, and their names.

After snack we did our calendar and for language we started the new letter of the week: Uu. We sang along to a song, reviewed its name, sound and formation, then students headed back to their desks to complete the letter U sheet in their Writing With Phonics book.

Then they had gym with Ms. Lovan.

After lunch, they heard a story being read on a CD and then we did our daily five: Read to Self, Word Work (students had to find the letters in their name by colouring in the apples that matched), Work On Writing (students used playdough mats to form the letter U).

In math we continued work on sorting, we looked at a big picture about an assortment of socks and students had to answer questions based on it. Then they went back to their tables and after dividing their tables in 3 parts they had to sort a variety of objects and had to tell me why they sorted it the way they did.

After french with Mlle. Hou we did our UOI. We had one more All About Me presentation and then students received either a girl or boy picture and after colouring it, had to cut it in 4 pieces and glue it back in the correct order.

Have a great evening!
Ms. Bannon
