First I wanted to wish Julia a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Literacy Activity - Students had to trace then fill in the missing letters from a-j. Then they had to colour in the apples with the letter 'g'.

Calendar - We did the usual routine then together as a class students read the poem 'Falling Snow' to the tune of 'When the Ants Go Marching In', with actions. They had lots of fun!

Language- We started the new letter of the week: Cc. Then we watched a letter c song and completed 2 pages in our Writing With Phonics.

Gym - Mr. Slyk

Daily Five - Together as a class we completed a worksheet where we had to complete 2 sentences by sounded out 3 letter words. They had to cut and paste the letters in correct order then write out the whole sentence.

Although Martin Luther King Day is celebrated in the US, we talked about how he wanted people of all colour to get along and make this world a better place. So we read a small poem and students completed a craft to compliment it. These will go home tomorrow.

Math - students traced the numbers 1-20, then each table raced to see how fast they could get the numbers 1-10 in order.

French- Mlle. Jessica

UOI - We began discussion on the country we'll be representing on Friday - Armenia. Students looked to see where it is on the map as well as colouring in the flag.

Have a great evening!
