We started the day with a story then completed a New Years Craft. After a quick snack we did our calendar routine and everyone got a turn telling the class what they did over the Christmas break. Then they drew that in their journals.
Gym - Mr. Slyck
Daily Five - Reading Buddies
Math - We started a new unit: patterning. Students had to follow my sound and body patterns first to guess what we were talking about and then they came up with examples of their own. After that they made pattern bracelets.
French- Mlle. Jessica
UOI - We also began a new unit: Sharing the Planet, which talks about animals and how we can care for them. Students talked about their favourite animal then drew it on a piece of paper.
