Gym - Mr. Slyk
Calendar - After the usual routine, students talked about what they did for the March Break.
Language/Literacy Activity - Students copied the sentence: On March Break I............ from the board using a capital letter at the beginning and finger spacing on a piece of lined paper. Then they tried to sound out what they did and we filled in the rest. Then they drew a picture.
If students finished early, they cut and pasted a chick hatching sequence worksheet .
Math - We started a new unit: measurement. Students had to go around the room and using a popsicle stick measure 3 objects that were shorter, then 3 that were longer and drew or traced the objects on a piece of paper. Then they shared their findings with the class.
UOI - We also began a new unit: transportation. Students had to think of as many types of transportation there are and after listing them on a piece of chart paper, watched a video.
Then they had 20 minutes of centre time.
