Calendar- students used a q-tip and 'erased' random letters on the board by tracing them properly. Vignesh counted the days in April for us this morning.
Language - the students had fun playing 2 games. First we completed a worksheet together as a class where they had to roll a die and whatever number it landed on they had to colour the 3 letter word in that row. Then they sounded it out. After we played musical chairs in which 3 letter words were placed on chairs and once the music stopped, they had to pick up that word and sound it out.
French - Mlle. Jessica
UOI - Students had to first guess what sounds different modes of transportation made and then they had to draw a picture of where they would want to fly to if they could choose anywhere in the world.
Then we watched the afternoon spring fundraiser assembly.
Music - Mrs. Kerr

Dear SJA Families,
The Grade 6 class invites you to attend the Exhibition on
Friday, May 6, 2016, from 9 am to 11 am, or from 6 pm to 8 pm in the auditorium.
The Exhibition is the culminating task of the IB Primary
Years Programme. It is where students work collaboratively to explore a local
issue that interests them. This year’s
Grade 6s have chosen the following topics to explore:
Poverty
Terrorism
Industrialization
Animal Abuse
Declining Bee Population
Racism
Issues Facing Aboriginal Peoples on Reserves
Climate Change
Some great reasons why you should attend if your child is NOT
in Grade 6 include:
·
Supporting and celebrating with the Grade 6s
·
Learning about these issues
·
Being aware of what will be expected of your
child when they are in Grade 6
We hope to see you then.
Sincerely,
The Grade 6 Class
