After calendar we did a quick brain break and danced along to the hokey pokey turkey song.
Language - students reviewed the name, sound & formation of the letter Ee. Then we listened to another song and added a couple more words to the board. After they completed a letter Ee trace and write worksheet.
Art - students squished yellow and red paint together in a large ziploc bag to 'paint' their pumpkin. They were fascinated to discover that mixing those 2 colours produced orange.
Math - students started numeracy centres.
Station #1: Clip card counting (students count the number of fruits/veggies on the card and attach a clothespin to the correct number)
Station #2: Playdough number mats (students used playdough to make the number then added dots to make the correct 10 frame amount)
Station #3: Trace and write numbers 1-20 using dry erase markers

UOI - students discussed the benefits of brushing their teeth and what we use our teeth for by adding their ideas on post it notes to the teeth taped on the board.
