Language - students did a write the room short vowel sort activity. They had to look at the picture and word and figure out which short vowel it went under. Then we took it up as a class to make sure everyone had them written down correctly. The students loved giving themselves a checkmark!
Math - students learned the names and characteristics of 3D shapes. Then they watched a video about them and went on a shape hunt around the school to see if we could find any real life objects in those shapes. They tallied how many they saw of each.
Gym - Ms. Yustin
French - Mlle. Jessica
UOI - students had fun learning about a live mammal. Ms. Padovan brought in her daughters pet hamster and they all got a chance to have a look at it. Then we talked about why it was a mammal and how we can care for pets. When we got back to our classroom we discussed the different ways we care for plants/animals.
