Language - students reviewed the name, sound, and action for the letter S. They sang along to the jolly phonics song and then completed a worksheet where they had to write an upper and lower case S as well as colour in any of the boxes that contained that letter.

Recess/Lunch
Math - students are learning that there is more than one way to arrange numbers as well as different ways to represent them. First they copied the arrangements using manipulatives they saw on the powerpoint and then we chose a number and they found as many ways to represent it on the whiteboard.
UOI - students watched the story of the The Little Red Hen, then cut and pasted the story in order. They also discovered the process of how bread is made.
Journal: students copied the following sentence: On the weekend I_______________. I challenged all of them today to try and finish the sentence on their own as best they could by sounding it out. They did a fantastic job!
Music - Mr. Flower
Then we read a story and packed up for home.
