HAPPY 100TH DAY OF SCHOOL!!

Calendar - days of the week, months of the year, season, weather & question of the day
Then students took turns to see if they could all come up with 100 words......... and they did!!

Then we sang along to a 100 day song with actions!

Then we talked about the blend sound 'oo' and they finished a page in their phonics journal. After they tried to write their names as many times as they could in 100 seconds.

Recess/Lunch 1

French - Mlle. Jessica

Math - students reviewed time to 1/2 hour using Judy clocks and completing a worksheet. We went over the concept today that the hour hand has to be in between the 2 numbers. Then they used fruit loops to fill in 10 frames until they got to 100. After they strung them onto pipe cleaners and made a necklace!

UOI - students reviewed what our class' definition of a community is: helping each other. Then we talked about the different community helpers we know. Students then wrote down on whiteboards what they wanted to be when they grow up!

Recess/Lunch 2

Journal - Students completed the following sentence: If I had $100 I would buy_____________________.

Music - Ms. McMillan

Then students completed the day by seeing how many times they could complete each activity in 100 seconds (clapping their hands, sitting up & down, blinking their eyes, etc.)
