Language- students reviewed the blend sound 'ear' by completing a worksheet and then a word search

Math - today students learned about the nickel. First we talked about what it looks like, what its value is and how we count by 5's. Then they got into groups and were given a small amount of fake nickels to count. I wrote a number on the board that I wanted them to count up to and when they were finished they raised their hands. Then they completed a worksheet where they had to count how many nickels there were in all.
UOI- Today we learned about the community helper: dentist! Students watched a video about the responsibilities of a dentist and the different tools they use for their job. Then they either drew or cut out piece of white paper to add teeth to a mouth.
Recess/Lunch 2
Journal - students had fun completing a colour by number basesball girl
Music - Ms. McMillan
Then we finished off the day by doing a going on a bear hunt yoga.
