Marvelous Monday

I forgot to mention on Friday that our class won the golden broom this week!!!! They've done such an excellent job keeping their cubbies so neat and tidy :) 

Calendar - days of the week, months of the year, season, weather, counting to the 100th day of school and a story

Language - students reviewed the name, sound, and formation of the letter Tt. First we demonstrated with our fingers in the air how to make the upper and lower case and then wrote it on the board. Then students came up with as many letter T words as possible; we ended up filling the entire bubble letter T! Then they completed a page in their phonics journal. 

Math - first we completed a worksheet together as a class for reviewing 5 frames and talking about the concept of more and less. Then we moved on to 10 frames. Students worked with a partner to place the correct number of manipulatives based on the numbers I called out from 6-10.

UOI - students completed a flip booklet where they had to cut and paste the pictures in order of the steps involved in making pancakes. Tomorrow we make the pancakes!

Music - Ms. McMillan

Then it was time to pack up and head home!
