Tremendous Thursday

Calendar - days of the week, months of the year, season, weather, and the 100th day of school. After calendar today we had so much fun reading with our grade 4 buddies!!

Math - today we explored the calculator; we discussed what we saw on them (numbers and letters) and where we have seen people use them. Then I called out a number and they had to find it on the calculator and push the button to display it. After that they worked in pairs to copy what the other person had on their calculator and completed page 21 in their Math Makes Sense workbook.

Then we had another fun house game!

UOI - After introducing the unit, students came up with a KWL chart on the topic. Then we talked about how carrots go from the farm to our tables. We watched a video showing the detailed process.
Finally they completed a worksheet where they had to match which meat came from which animal and then write down which one was their favourite.

Journal - today we copied then finished the following sentence: My name is _______________.

Then it was time to pack up and head home!
