Wonderful Wednesday

Calendar - days of the week, months of the year, season, weather, counting to the 100th day of school, and a story

Language - students worked on the name, sound and formation of the letter Ee. After brainstorming words we worked on a page in their phonics journal.

 Math - students reviewed the AB and ABC patterns by playing a game. They lined up on 2 different teams and had to complete the pattern I started on the board. Then they completed an AABB pattern worksheet on their own. We talked about how we can use something other than colours to show a pattern (we can use shapes, numbers, letters, etc. as long as all the A's are the same and all the B's are the same in the pattern).

UOI - today we talked about the changes we see in fall: leaves changing colour, nights getting darker earlier, and the temperature dropping. Then they had fun making a leaf craft using a bundle of q-tips and paint. Finally they completed a writing piece to go along with the activity. 

Then it was time to pack up and head home!
