Language - students reviewed the name, sound, and formation of the letter Ff. Then we sounded out the pictures on the back of the worksheet together as a class and wrote then down.
Math - students had to write their name on a piece of grid paper using one letter per square. Then they had to figure out where their name went in terms of length by looking at the other names already on the board. Then we talked about whose name was the shortest, longest and how many had the same number of letters. We also talked about making sure we always start at the same point when comparing, otherwise it will not give us a proper comparison. Then they went around the classroom asking friends what was their favourite colour and recording their findings in their Math Makes Sense workbook.

UOI - students took turns helping out with our science fair board and then we moved on to space. We made a KWL chart (what I know, what I want to know, and what we've learned). After watching a solar system song students had to draw a picture of what they thought our solar system looks like. We will do another drawing after the unit is done to see what they have learned.

Then it was time to pack up and head home!
