Calendar - students had to say the sound of the vowels in order to guess which cup the jewel was hiding under. They had lots of fun!

Language - students completed a writing piece where they had to trace the beginning of a sentence and finish it based on the pictures below. We are continuing review of starting with a capital letter, using finger spacing and ending with a period.

French - Mlle. Jessica

Daily Five - together as a class we completed a roll and write sight word activity. Students took turns in a circle to roll a dice and whatever number it landed on they had to write the corresponding sight word on their sheet.

Math - we talked about a different type of measurement today: capacity. Although it's a more difficult concept to grasp, it's important they understand it can be another way of measuring. First we explained what it meant and then I gave them each a sticky note to write their guesses on how many cubes they thought it would take to fill a small container I had out. Then we counted together as a class cube by cube until we got the actual capacity.

UOI - students had fun making stop signs.

We ended the day with centres.

Have a great weekend!
Ms. Bannon
