HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY MYRA!!

Calendar - days of the week, months of the year, season, weather, question of the day, & we reviewed the patterns we have already studied by drawing the missing shape and circling the core. We also talked about the reasons why they chose either hot or cold weather. 

Language - students worked on the letter Uu. We talked about the name, sound, and formation and after they brainstormed words that begin with it we watched a video to add more to the board. Then they completed a page in their phonics journal with a picture.

Gym - Ms. Yustin

Recess/Lunch 1

Math - students learned about the ABBA pattern today and then to review the other ones they each used a different playdough colour and together with their group formed the other patterns from last week. They had lots of fun and did a fantastic job!

Then we had a student who made a pattern out of her gummies at snack time! It's great to see them take their learning outside of the classroom:)

UOI - Today we talked about the 5 senses. First we made a KWL chart (what i know, what i want to know, and what I've learned). Then we watched a couple videos on them and students completed a worksheet.

Journal - students practiced writing a list as they will need to complete one for their writing assessments soon. We are working on remembering 3 important details for them: title, bullet points and pictures. 

Then they had some time for centres.
