Recess/Lunch 1

Math - students reviewed time to the hour by playing a bingo game. They each took turns coming up to the front of the classroom and turning over a card to read the time on it. 

Then we talked about time to the half hour. They learned that when the minute hand is on the 6 it means thirty, and the hour hand is just past the hour. After they completed 2 worksheets where they had to write the time indicated then draw the hands on the clock. 

UOI - we started a new unit: Community Helpers. Students came up with a definition of what a community is and then listed some community helpers that they knew. After watching a brief video we added more to the whiteboard.

Recess/Lunch 2

Journal - students made valentine cards for their reading buddies!

Music - Ms. McMillan

Then it was time to pack up and head home!
