Math - students had to work in groups at their table to match the 2 different ways we have been learning about how to write time: 9:00 & 9 o'clock. Then we did a competition to see which table could finish the fastest. Finally we reviewed that when we draw the hands on a clock we have to make sure that the hour hand is quite a bit shorter than the minute one.
UOI - students had lots of fun making a mitten winter craft! First they painted a piece of cardstock paper with blue paint and then glued coloured pieces of tissue paper onto a picture of a mitten. Then they cut out the mitten and after used a glue gun to glue a clothespin to the piece of cardstock paper they 'hung' it up. Then they used their fingers to add 'snow'.
Recess/Lunch 2
Journal - students wrote an informative piece together as a class explaining the importance of how to dress warmly for winter.
Then it was time to pack up and head home!
