Language - students learned the sound and formation of the blend sound 'oi'. After brainstorming words on the whiteboard that started with it they completed a page in their phonics journal. If they finished early they had fun working on a pajama day wordsearch.

Math - students completed a pre-test about Canadian money to test prior knowledge on the subject.
UOI - today we learned about firefighters!! Students brainstormed what firefighters can do, what tools they use and who they are by filling out a worksheet. Then we watched a video and did a scavenger hunt around the school looking for different signs of fire safety. Once they found a specific item they placed a check mark beside that object.
Recess/Lunch 2
Journal - students described what pajamas they were wearing in as much detail as possible. Then they each took turns getting their bodies outlined and they could make their own pajama designs.
Then it was time to clean up and head home!
