Terrific Tuesday

Calendar - days of the week, months of the year, season, weather, question of the day and a story. Then we sang along to a couple of springtime songs.

UOI - today we learned about the community helper librarian. We had our very own Ms. Hayward come in to talk to the SK's about her job!

Then they had fun making bookmarks and worked together as a class to come up with a sentence about what a librarian does.

Recess/Lunch 1

French - Mlle. Jessica

Language - students reviewed the blend sound 'air' and then completed a page in their phonics journal. 

Math - students learned about the dime today. We reviewed the colour, worth, and what picture is on the front. Then they went back to their desks to complete a worksheet. After they worked in groups to match the amount of money to the correct price tag.

Recess/Lunch 2

Journal - students worked in groups to match the raindrops to the correct word on the sun. Then they wrote them down on their whiteboards. 

After we practiced words from our spelling bee list and then our song for arts night.
