After morning assembly in the gym, we started the day by reading a story and then students used colourful pieces of construction paper to outline their name once I put glue on a strip of black paper. Then they did a scavenger hunt around the room, locating certain items and then colouring in the smiley face once they found it.

In language we continued our work with the letter I: name, sound, and formation. Then we watched the letter I song and students completed an all about letter I worksheet.

For daily five we did 2 rotations: read with someone else and word work. Students used stamps to spell words starting with the letter I or to spell out their names.

In math I sorted the students according to different rules and they had to guess which one it was. Then as a class we sorted healthy vs non healthy foods and then completed a worksheet where they had to circle the one object that did not belong to the sorting rule. 

After second recess they had french with Mlle. Hou. 

For UOI we talked about the similarities between what the children liked and didn't like, and then completed some more All About Me presentations.
