Language - We started a new letter of the week: Mm. We looked at the big card and practiced writing it in the air first with our fingers and then moved to our Writing With Phonics book. Then we sang along to the letter m song. Just before gym we played a letter game where students stood at the edge of the carpet and I called their names to pick either a lower/upper case letter from the floor.
Gym - Ms. Lovan
Daily Five - Work on writing (students chose either watermelon or grapes to finish the sentence: At a picnic I would like to eat___________), Word Work (students completed a beginning sounds worksheet), Read to Self/Someone Else
UOI - We started our new unit: How We Express Ourselves. Students heard the 3 little pigs story read to them and then they made puppets to reenact the story.
French - Mlle. Jessica
Math - Students played I have ____, who has _____ game in which they tried to identify the number on their card and then ask who had the other number that was on the bottom. This was a challenge as the numbers went up to 20 but they did a great job.
